Since 2002, NetFuel (formerly ScreenMatter) has delivered internet marketing, interactive design, and web development for clients in the US and abroad. We are rapidly growing and looking for a web designer to join our team. You will be working with our exceptional team of designers, internet marketing experts and developers that are dedicated to working collaboratively and producing cutting edge innovative solutions for our clients.  The types of projects include local / national level websites, interactive features (Flash) and other various web based marketing materials.

SCOPE / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create website and interactive design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content
  • Translate layered Photoshop files into optimized, cross-browser compliant XHTML and CSS
  • Design interactive / Flash features for use in websites
  • Ensure that the layout of the content is professional, creative and adheres to marketing guidelines for the project and clients brand
  • Perform maintenance and updates to existing websites as requested by clients

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5+ years of professional web design experience
  • Proficient in XHTML, CSS, and “table-less” design (with familiarity working with tables)
  • Proficient in Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 (or later)
  • Experience working with Adobe Flash (ActionScripting experience is a plus)
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript and dynamic HTML (and JQuery is a plus)
  • Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE 6,7,8, Firefox 2,3, Chrome, Safari).
  • Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Must be team-oriented and possess excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques
  • A strong online portfolio of a diverse projects with a variety of clients / industries

NICE-TO-HAVES

  1. Experience working directly with clients
  2. Understanding of Search Engine Optimization and web marketing
  3. Exposure to ASP.NET
